Five questions we actually ask our students. No sign-up, no email — just try it.
When we're good (or bad) at a skill, English uses “at” — good at, bad at, improving at. “In” and “on” feel logical to Serbian speakers because Serbian says “u igrici” (literally “in the game”), and that's exactly where most people get stuck.
“Damage to something” — harm done to something. The Serbian “na kapiji” (literally “on the gate”) pulls toward “on”, but English needs “to” here.
“Since this morning” means the action started in the past and is still going on — that's the present perfect continuous. The focus is on the duration, not the result.
Third conditional: if + past perfect → would have + past participle. We're talking about a past that can't be changed — he didn't study, and he failed.
Turkeys voting for Christmas would be voting for their own demise. The idiom describes supporting something that works against your own interest.
